Hello, I am Melissa
the Founder of Purposely Designed.
I am a traditional artist, art educator, and surface designer. I have various artistic interests, and am gaining more all the time, these include: digital art, paper making, watercolor painting, oil painting, and working with clay. I have never met an art medium that I do not like! Beyond the more traditional artistic expressions I also love to sew and crochet.
I was born and raised in East Tennessee, but I have spent the last 10 years traveling the country and living all over. The majority of my time spent in different parts of Florida, where I currently reside. Wherever I am, I can guarantee the ocean is close by.
I have always been inspired by the nature and sights around me, but the ocean is my happy place. You can see this in my design collections as they lean toward coastal and nautical designs!
No matter where I am, or how I am finding inspiration, you can always find me designing and creating, and because of this I have an extensive collection of work, which is now available for licensing!
